This neighborhood is featured by its historical buildings, original architecture and an amazing sightseeing of the south bay. We will continue to the Sambaqui beach were we will make our stop for lunch (seafood risotto and grilled fish). Sambaqui is part of the Sundown Gastronomy Route. After lunch, we will visit an old historical house, where currently it is located the Sambaqui Neighborhood Association. This place was an ancient see port in 1907 and now it serves as an important cultural point. Here, nice and friendly old ladies produce the well-known bilro lace, typical way of seueing pieces of cloth that comes from Portugues tradition. Finally, having had an important contact with the local people and its folklore, we go to Daniela beach. More specifically, we will walk by the seashore until the end of this beautiful beach, called as Pontal da Daniela. This place has the encounter of the blue sea, the local restinga and the mangle. The most interesting things are the skeleton-like rests of this mangle along the sand, which turns this one of the most unic scenes of the Island. At the Pontal da Daniela we can have a relaxing time for enjoying the calm waters of the beach and admiring the sightseeing of the Fortress and the Hercilio Luz Bridge on the horizon.
